Zachary Saunders

SHELBY- Zachary “Zack” Dillon Saunders, 12, went to be with his Lord, Friday, June 17, 2016. A native of Gaston County, he is the son of Brandon and Angie Johnson Saunders of Shelby. Zack was a student at Crest Middle School, a member at Lily Memorial Baptist Church, and Boy Scout Troop #105. He was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers basketball fan.

PRECEDED: He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Samuel Saunders

SURVIVED: In addition to his parents, he is survived by his dear brothers, Jake and Caleb Saunders, of the home; grandparents, David and Debbie Johnson of Shelby, and Deanna Sabatino of Va.; aunts and uncles, Matt and Julia Johnson of Shelby, Jennifer McKinney of Inman, SC, Todd Saunders of Shelby, Sammy Saunders III of Asheboro; and many cousins.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Thursday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday, 6-8pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

BURIAL: will follow in Sunset Cemetery

CLERGY: Rev. Jared Pankhurst will officiate
