SHELBY- W. Dale Hollifield, age 65, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his wife and loving family, Tuesday, May 23, 2017. A native of Cleveland Co., he was the son of Faye Dalton Hollifleld of Shelby, and the late Wilbur Watkins Hollifield.
PRECEDED: In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Ruppe
SURVIVED: In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Marsha Davis Hollifield, of the home; son Jay Hollifield and wife Colleen of Shelby; daughter Shannon Hollifield and fiancé Seth Treadway of Shelby; grandchildren Lucas, Kaidyn, Bryson, Weston and Vance; sister, Judy Rabb of Shelby; and Sister-In-Law, Patti Davis of Shelby.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, Friday, May 26, 2017 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.
FUNERAL SERVICE: A private family service will be held.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland Co. 951 Wendover Heights Shelby, NC 28150 or Levine Cancer Institute-Cleveland, 201 E Grover St, Shelby, NC 28150
