Shelby: Wendy Burnette Lowery, age 56, completed her earthly journey on June 20, 2025, in Cleveland County. Born on October 30, 1968, in Yancey County, Wendy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose vibrant spirit touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Wendy dedicated many years of her life to her work as a machinist in manufacturing, where she was known for her diligence and commitment. Beyond her professional life, she found great joy in the beauty of the outdoors. Wendy was particularly fond of flowers and cherished moments spent camping and hiking. The landscapes of Chimney Rock, NC, held a special place in her heart.

A devoted member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church, Wendy's faith was a guiding force in her life, providing her with strength and comfort.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Russell Burnette and Delores Austin. Wendy is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Dean Lowery Sr.; her son, Brent Rhoney Lowery Sr., and his wife Britney, of Gaffney, SC; and her step-son, Jason William Lowery of Whiteville, NC. She also leaves behind her brothers, Bobby Burnette and Tommy Burnette of Shelby; her cherished grandchildren, Easton Anthony Lowery Sr. and Emma Grace Lowery; and her nephew, Tommy Lee Burnette of Dallas, NC.

Wendy's love for her family, her passion for nature, and her unwavering faith will be remembered and celebrated by all who were blessed to share in her life. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
