GROVER- Mr. Toy Richard Blanton, 74, of 1011 Cleveland Ave., Grover, died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Cleveland County and son to the late June and Amanda Greene Blanton. Toy was a member of New Buffalo Baptist Church and served in the Army. He retired after 37 years as a supervisor with Duke Energy.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded by 3 brothers and 2 sisters
SURVIVORS: His loving wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Rippy Blanton of the home; a son, Gary Richard Blanton of the home; a daughter, Sandy Blanton Huggins of Grover, a sister; Dorothy Surratt of Gaffney; a brother, Leonard Blanton of York; and a granddaughter, Jada Blanton of Shelby.
VISITATION: Sunday, July 22, 2007 4-5:30PM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, other times at the home
FUNERAL: 2PM Monday, July 23, 2007 at New Buffalo Baptist Church
LIE-IN-STATE: 30 prior to the service
BURIAL: New Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery
