Tom Keeter

SHELBY- Thomas “Tom” Keeter, 78, died Tues., Jan. 31, 2017, at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Lee and Pearl Keeter. He retired from PPG, and had a love of fishing.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Danny Keeter; daughter, Tina Ann Keeter; brothers, Colon, Roy, and Kenneth Keeter; sisters, Rosie Harris, Sally Buff, and Mary Keeter.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Hazel Keeter, of the home; step-son, Ruben Bridges of Gaffney; step-daughters, Darlene Philbeck and husband Gene of Shelby, and Jamie Baker and husband Harold of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Clyde Keeter and wife Mot of Shelby, and Bill Keeter of Kings Mountain; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday, 6-7:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Thursday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

OFFICIATING: Rev. Richard Stroup will officiate

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
