RUTHERFORDTON- Teresa “Teri” Greene, age 70, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026. Born on May 26, 1956, in Cleveland County, NC, Teri lived a life filled with kindness, warmth, and an open heart.

Teri was a dedicated security guard who approached her work with diligence and care. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in simple pleasures such as coloring with gel pens and solving word puzzles, activities that reflected her creative spirit and sharp mind.

A beloved member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church, Teri’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both challenges and celebrations. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Green; father, John Greene; and sisters, Rita Camp and Carolyn Greene.

Teri is lovingly remembered by her devoted brother Mark Greene, her daughters LeeAnn Owens and Amy Byers, and her ten cherished grandchildren. Her family and friends will forever hold dear the memories of her infectious laughter and unwavering support.

She had a heart of gold and would help anyone if she was able. Teri had a remarkable ability to connect with people—she didn’t meet any strangers. She loved to talk and listen, making everyone feel valued and heard. And those who knew her well remember her for the great enchiladas she made with love and care.

Teri Greene’s legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and a genuine love for life that inspired all who had the privilege to know her. Though she may be gone, her spirit and the warmth she shared will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of many.
