SHELBY: Stephen “Steve” Reynolds, 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at his home. Born in Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Harold and Annie Sue Clontz Reynolds. Steve served our Nation bravely in the United States Army. Steve was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a facility manager, transportation ministry assistant, and as a missions/outreach team member. He had a love for the Lord, his family, and fellowshipping with others. Before Steve retired,he enjoyed seeing the countryside as an over the road truck driver. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and target practicing. He is survived by his faithful loving wife of 53 years, Sue Webb Reynolds of the home; daughters, Sandy Gobble and husband Sam of Salisbury, Heather Budgick and husband Brad of Concord and Kelly Hildebrand and husband Shane of Salisbury; grandchildren, Alyssa Talbert and husband Matt, Brianne Kiser and husband Devin, Corey Snider, Lily and Fin Hildebrand, Brody and Harrison Budgick, Gabe Hildebrand, Eli Budgick, and Grace, Hudson, Asa and Abishai Hildebrand; and great granddaughter, Sophi Talbert. Funeral services will be held 5:30 P.M. Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-5:30 P.M. prior to the service, in the sanctuary. Burial with military honors will take place at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 4, 2023 in Salisbury National Cemetery Annex.
