Sherry Rhea

SHELBY: Sherry Lynn Rhea, 68, died Monday, May 16, 2022 at her home. Born in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Barbara Willis Winkler. She was a member of Christopher Road Baptist Church. Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Mick Rhea of the home; son, Gregg Edwards and fiancée Nikki Graham of Shelby; sisters, Donna Peterson and husband Ralph of Raleigh and Kathy Cartee and husband Steve of Southport; brother, Joe Winkler and wife Laura of Charlotte; and grandson, Tommy Edwards of Kings Mountain. A celebration of life service will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Christopher Road Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Tucker officiating. Memorials may be made to the church media room renovation, 420 Christopher Road, Shelby, NC 28152
