SHELBY- Mr. Seth Johnson, 97, of 1635 S. Dekalb St., passed away with his loving daughter, Yvette, by his side, Tuesday morning March 17, 2014 at Wendover Hospice. A native of Charleston, SC, he was born August 19, 1916, son of the late Rebecca Johnson. He was a WWII Veteran with the US Army. He was a loving father and a warm thoughtful, helpful friend.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Miller Johnson; two brothers, Eddie and Lawrence Johnson.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving daughter and his caretaker, Yvette Johnson of the home.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held 10:30 am Monday at First Wesleyan of Shelby.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
CLERGY: Rev. Eddie Gray
BURIAL: Burial will be private for the family at a later date.
FUNERAL HOME: Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby
