Scott Patterson

SHELBY-Scott Patterson, 52, of 1826 Riverhill Dr., died peacefully, Monday, January 20, 2014, at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Joe Patterson of Grover and Merle Petty Meeker and husband Frank of Fl. Scott was a member of Landmark Baptist Church, and was owner/operator of #3 Handy Mart. He was a collector of old things, especially signs. He enjoyed golf, riding his tractor, and doing most anything outdoors. Scott was full of personality and generosity.

PRECEDED: He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Myrtle Patterson, and Daisy Petty.

SURVIVED: In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Kim Patterson, of the home; two daughters, Brittany Patterson and fiancé J.J. Padgett, Scottie Patterson and fiancé Chase Webb, all of Shelby; sister Susan Hall of Shelby; brother, Joey Patterson and wife Laura of Grover; mother-in-law, Sharon Conn and husband Don of Shelby, father-in-law, Richard McCart of Fl., sister-in-law, Maria Wesson and husband Chad of Shelby; step-sister, Jennifer Groseclose and husband Alan; step-brothers, Jim Meeker and wife Renee, and Joe Meeker; step-brother-in-law, David Conn and wife Debra; step-sister-in-law, Deedee Wyatt and husband Bill; special family friends, Clarence and Grace Patterson; and many nieces and nephews and special friends.

SERVICES: Thursday, 4PM, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends following the service, at the church, and other times at his home.
