Sarah Blanton Mills

SHELBY- Mrs. Sarah Blanton Mills, 84, died Sun., April 22, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Gaston Co. she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Emma Glenn Robinson. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church; was an avid bingo player and loved to Bowl.


PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Blanton Sr.; second husband, Fred Mills; brother, Ed Robinson; and sister, Ida Holland.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughter; Betty B. Hendrick and husband Jim of Shelby; son, Clyde Blanton Jr. and wife Mary of Charlotte; sister, Dot Wilson of N. Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Callie Hendrick Ashley and husband Dan of Shelby, Chris Hendrick and wife Paige of Gastonia; three great-grandchildren, Olivia and Drew Ashley, and Cannon Abernethy.

SERVICES: A graveside service will be held 2pm, Tuesday, at Cleveland Memorial Park

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 12:00 to 1:30pm, Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home
