SHELBY- Sarah Rose Humphries, aged 36, of Cleveland County, North Carolina, passed away on September 7, 2026. Born on September 6, 1990, in Catawba County, Sarah lived a life full of love, service, and joy.

A beloved member of Hope Community Church - Upper Cleveland County Campus, Sarah's faith was a guiding light in her life. Her work in education as a cafeteria worker and bus driver was an extension of her nurturing spirit, and she cherished the opportunity to brighten the days of countless children with her big heart and infectious smile.

Sarah had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel valued and loved. She possessed a natural ability to light up every room she entered, and her kindness knew no bounds. Sarah genuinely cared for others, going out of her way to ensure their happiness and well-being before her own. Her love for kids was unmatched, and she was often described as the world's greatest mother and the greatest wife a man could ask for.

Sarah loved singing and walking, but above all, she treasured the time spent with her beloved babygirl, Abigail. Her family was her world, and she was devoted to creating loving and joyful memories with them.

Besides her husband Billy and her precious daughter Abigail, Sarah is survived by her parents, David and Amy Overcash; her sister Kristy Anne Brasure and her husband Josh Brasure; her beloved niece Ivy, nephews Solomon, and Judah; and her brother Wesley Overcash. Each of them carries her memory in their hearts, enriched by the love she so freely gave.

The family will honor and celebrate Sarah’s life on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Following the service, a graveside service will be held at Sunset Cemetery, where Sarah will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, they kindly request donations be made towards Abigail's childcare and future, ensuring that Sarah's legacy of love and care lives on through her daughter.

Though Sarah's time with us was all too brief, her impact was profound and enduring. Her joyful spirit and unwavering love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home & Aquamation Center www.claybarnette.com
