SHELBY- Mrs. Ruth A. Howe, 100, formerly of 1605 Mountain Drive, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Summit Place of Kings Mountain.

PERSONAL HISTORY: A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late John Landrum and Everlena Allen Allen. She retired as a filing clerk from the Internal Revenue Service and was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Howe, a brother and six sisters.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by a sister, Addie Spangler and husband, Hugh of Shelby and many nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service at the funeral home.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be Friday, October 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

BURIAL: Burial will be in Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Penn.
