Ruth Wright

BLACKSBURG- Mrs. Ruth Martin Wright, 94, of 1073 Holly Ridge Rd., went to be with her Lord, Sat., Aug. 25th, 2012 at her home. A native of Cherokee Co., SC, she was the daughter of the late D.G. and Ella Camp Martin. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was a nursery worker for many years.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Spurgeon Wright; son-in-law, Chuck Melton; and eight brothers and sisters.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving daughter, Ellen Melton, of Blacksburg; and very special nieces, nephews; great and great-great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Besson, Collette Fox, and Paula Sides, of Shelby Medical for their love and care they extended.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11a.m., Tuesday, at New Hope Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Monday, 6-7:30p.m., at New Hope Baptist Church, at other times at her home.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery
