Ruth Weaver

BLACKSBURG – Mrs. Ruth Weaver, 86, of 516 Dravo Road., passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at Kings Mountain Hospice. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Nettie Collins Weaver. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loran Weaver; sister, Pearl Glen; brother, Leroy Moss; two sons, David and Johnny Weaver; two half-brothers; and one great-grandchild.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her two sons, Dennis Weaver and wife Susan, Gary Weaver and wife Pauline, both of Shelby; four daughters, Patsy Spake and husband Pete of Blacksburg, SC, Judy Peace and husband William, Susan Thrift all of Lattimore, Doris Cook and husband Butch of Kings Mountain; several half-brothers and sisters; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be Monday, 1pm, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 3pm-5pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby and other times at her home.
