SHELBY- Mrs. Ellen Ruth Griffin, 88, of 1207 Lithia Springs Extension, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter to the late Julius Carr and Jettie Hicks Mull. She was a secretary for Hamrick, Mauney, and Flowers Attorneys and was a member of First Baptist Church of Shelby. She was a Christian lady who loved to read her Bible.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Judge Joe Mull and her sister, Martha M. Alexander.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her daughter, Martha Jo Swink and her husband Paul of Fallston; a niece, Ginger Kathryn Mull of Atlanta; and a special friend, Dillon Black of Shelby.
VISITATION: Saturday (4/12), from 5-6:30 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Sunday (4/13), 1:30 pm in the Clay-Barnette Chapel.
BURIAL: will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
OFFICIATING CLERGY:Rev. Tony Tench and Rev. Bob Dills.
