Roy Grigg

SHELBY – Mr. Roy Lee Grigg, 91, formerly of Kings Rd., died Wed., Sept. 12, 2012 at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Cleveland Co., he was the son of the late PM and Zulia White Grigg. He served in the Army, retired NCDOT, and was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church, where he was a humble servant of God. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bernie, Marvin, Elsie, Raymond, and Odell Grigg; sisters, Essie Humphries, Veora Queen, Lillian Hamm, and Macie Bramlett.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Frankie Varie Barrett Grigg of Shelby; son, Terry Grigg and wife Trish of Gastonia; three grandchildren, Amy Patterson and husband Danny of Shelby, Taylor and Trevor Grigg of Gastonia; two great-grandchildren, Sarah Jade Patterson and Andrew Patterson; and nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Funeral will be 12:00pm, Saturday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
