Ronald Crane

August 31, 1946 — March 11, 2017

BOILING SPRINGS-Ronald E. “Rollie” Crane, 70, passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his family, loved ones, and faithful companion, Buddy, on Saturday, Mar. 11, 2017. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Bill and Kate Crane. Rollie graduated from Shelby High School in 1964 before serving his country for two years in the US Marine Corp. He began his life long journey with the love of his life, Sandy, on Christmas Eve of 1968. Together, they built a lifetime of memories, traveling into new beginnings, dancing through adventures and loving each other through every minute. He never faltered, he put the love of his life, his family, and loved ones before himself and served as the rock of his family. This Marine’s strength and courage were undeniable. His infectious smile, big heart, and unique personality left him leaving this world having never met a stranger. His happiest days were spent dancing with his wife, spending time with those he loved, reading books, and solving puzzles in record time.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Crane; his children, Leslie, Tracy, and Meagan Crane, also known as “The Crane Girls”; and grandchildren, Montana, Kiersten, Drake, Jagger, Cashe, Olivia, and Sam, all because two people fell in love.
