SHELBY- Richard “Old Dude” Kennedy, 70, of 2807 Blacksburg Road, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at his residence. A native of Cass County, Michigan, he was born July 25, 1943, son of the late George and Vivian Bower Kennedy. He served our country and is a veteran of the United States Army.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Culberson.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his wife, Betty Kennedy; two daughters, Cinda Fussell and Maxine Flournoy both of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Sharon Northrop of Shelby, Pat Casey of Dowagiac, Michigan, Bonnie Gentry of Griffith, Georgia; one brother, Roger William Kennedy of Dowagiac, Michigan; five grandchildren, Michael, Charlie, Kevin Fussell, and Mitchell, Richard Cavenaugh; five great grandchildren, Jaden, Braylei, Gauge, Michali, and Destiny, many nieces and nephews but two special one, Kenny kennedy and Debbie Webster.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held 5:00 pm Monday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel of Shelby.
CLERGY: Rev. Barry Philbeck will officiate.
