Rachel Crowder Mode

SHELBY- Rachel Crowder Mode, 90, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, August 18, 2018. She was a long time member of Mulls Memorial Baptist Church. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and will be missed greatly by her family. She loved watching baseball and especially her Atlanta Braves. The family wants to give a special thanks to the caregivers at Hospice and to the ladies at Helping Hands that took great care of her.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Hugh Mode; and two sisters.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Donald Lee Mode and wife Eileen of Arlington, Tx., Ronald Mode and wife Edna of Shelby, and Don Mode of Cherryville; sister Ruby Walker; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in the chapel of Clay-Barnette

OFFICIATING: Dr. B. Ervin Price, officiating

BURIAL: will follow the service at Sunset Cemetery
