Shelby Priscilla Jacqueline Pearson, fondly known as Jackie, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Cleveland County, North Carolina. Born on February 26, 1949, in Shelby, NC, Jackie graced this world for 76 vibrant years.

Jackie's journey was one of dedication, love, and passion. She devoted her life to caring for others as a nurse and later channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into owning a textile company. Her professional endeavors were matched by her personal passions, particularly her love for cooking lasagna, spending cherished moments with family, and being an active member of Christ the King Church. Jackie lived her faith deeply, embodying the principles she held dear through her love for the Lord, her church, and her family.

A born tomboy, Jackie found her soulmate early in life, meeting Dan Pearson at the tender age of 14. Together, they built a life filled with love and companionship, celebrating 61 beautiful years of marriage. Jackie was known not only for her culinary skills that crowned her as the best cook but also for her musical talents, delighting those around her with songs played on the guitar and harmonica. Her joy extended to simpler pleasures too, such as attending yard sales and singing with her loved ones.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Jackson McCluney; her mother, Hazeline Condrey; her sisters, Kathy Waldrep and Cynthia Vaughn; and her brother, Sammy McCluney. She leaves behind a loving family: her devoted husband, Dan Pearson; her son, Charles Pearson; her daughter, Susan Pearson-Bennett and husband Keith Bennett; her sister, Tina Pearson; her beloved grandchild, Chase; and many other cherished family members and friends.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. Jackie's memory will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends, a testament to the beautiful life she lived.
