SHELBY: Philip Grigg, 57, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Boyd and Peggy Patterson Grigg. Philip had a love for playing music.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Lovelace.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Royster Grigg, of the home; son, Burgan Grigg and wife Kelly of Knoxville, Jonathan and Mason Grigg, both of Shelby, Mario Geratano of Louisiana, and Rodney Hoyle and wife Lacie of Lawndale; daughters, Holly Shelby and husband David of Mississippi, and Michelle Jordan and husband Ty of Lawndale; sister, Jane Owens of Kings Mountain; and 10 grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Thursday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Mathis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
BURIAL: Will follow in Sunset Cemetery
FUNERAL HOME: Funeral arrangements are being handled by Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby
