Peggy Ramsey Hambright

KINGS MOUNTAIN: Peggy Ramsey Hambright, 75, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Atrium Health-Shelby. A native of Cleveland Co., she was born to the late Cecil and Lucy Martin Ramsey. She was a loving Mother and grandmother who would sacrifice anything for her family. She worked in textiles for Kings Mountain Knitting, Dependable Knit and Hank-Fink Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Charles Douglas Hambright and her son Joseph Lee Hambright. She is survived by her son Charles Hambright and daughter Susan Dover, both of Kings Mountain; sisters Marlene Wellman of Shelby and Brenda Belt of Kings Mountain; brothers Cecil “Bud” Ramsey, William “Bill” Ramsey and wife Patsy, and Jim Ramsey, all of Clover; grandchildren Tamra Dover-Greason and husband Kenneth, Christian Hart Hambright and Tory Dover; great granddaughter Delaney Rae Greason; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Clay-Barnette of Kings Mountain. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
