Paul Louis Morrison

SHELBY- Paul Morrison, 77, earthly journey ended peacefully Monday, July 23, 2018 at his home. A native of Cleveland Co., he was born to the late Grady and Ollie Hamrick Morrison. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather with a great sense of humor. He was a long time member of Manna Baptist Church and was involved in many of their fundraising projects. He loved fishing and gardening. People would come from all around for his okra and tomatoes at his produce stand on College Ave. The family wants to give a special thank you to the hospice nurses that helped care for him, Erin, Steven, Melissa and Angie, the staff of Hospice at Wendover and the doctors and nurses at Cleveland Regional that cared for him.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Helen McCombs and Edna Bolin; brothers, Herman and James Lee Morrison; great grandson, Karsyn Franklin.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Owens Morrison, of the home; sons, Lewis Morrison and wife Susie of Polkville and Phillip Morrison and fiancé Sonya of Lincolnton; daughters, Lissa Roseman and husband Gary of Mathews, Lorie Lee and husband Derrick of Lawndale, Sandra Taylor and husband Doyle of Shelby, Tina McCombs and fiancé James Lane of Shelby, and Crystal Wylie and husband Mike of Blacksburg; sisters Joyce Griffin and husband Leroy and Ruby Pruett, both of Shelby; brothers Blain Morrison and Fain Morrison and wife Shelby of Shelby, Calvin Morrison and wife Patty of Polkville and Kenneth Morrison and wife Linda of Kernersville; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; special friend Michael “Spike” Mullinax; and his beloved pet CoCo.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at 1279 Rocky Creek Rd Shelby, NC

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 27, 2017 in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Thomas Whitlock

BURIAL: will follow the service at Cleveland Memorial Park
