Patricia Laney Noggle

SHELBY: Patricia Laney Noggle, “Tricia” born May 15th, 1953 in Ithaca, New York, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 8th, 2025 in Shelby, NC.

Tricia was preceded in death by her parents, John D. Laney, and Louise Horn Martin, and stepfather; Carl G. Martin. Her sisters, Kathy L. Condie, brother in-law Dr. Scott Condie, and son in-law, Jason Bell.

She is survived by her husband Daniel H. Noggle, her daughter, Nicole Ferree Bell (Frankie Cochran);sisters, Jane L. Hamrick and Elizabeth L. Ray (Dwayne). Step brothers, Mike Martin (Jo), Tim Martin (Carol), and Mal Martin (Melinda). Nieces and nephews; Mandy Worthy (Mike Hathaway), Lindsey Worthy Wood, Dustin Love (Hayley), Tyler Love (Kate Boardman), Savannah Ray (Jeremy Bouldin). Great nieces and nephews, Caleb Mellon, Haylan Ellis, Audrianna Love, Deacon and Decker Love, the Ferree Family, Craig, Cory, Kendra, Jackson, and Eva, and her beloved dog, Kira that saved her life.

She attended Shelby High School and Meredith College. She loved her career of 27 years with Cleveland County School System, where she fondly called the students “her kids”. Tricia also served on the Dover Scholarship Board at Gardner-Webb University, was an ambassador for Faces of Hope for Stage 4 Cancer in the Carolinas as she fought her own battle with pancreatic cancer for 7 ½ years.

Tricia’s love of life, family, friends and nature inspired all who knew and loved her. Her faith never wavered and it was a testimony to who she was.

The family will be at the home of her daughter Nicole Bell, and Frankie Cochran. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.

The family asks that in place of flowers, memorial donations be made to one of the following;
