Opal Woody

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Opal Foster Woody, 77, of 912 First Street, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at her residence. A native of Cleveland County, she was born August 9, 1935, daughter of the late Howard O’Grady and Sarah Myers Foster. God has gained our precious angel we had here on earth, we loved her with all our hearts and she will be deeply missed.

SURVIVED: She is survived by one brother, Henry Foster of the home; her loving caretaker who was like a daughter to her, Trina Whitaker also many other nieces, nephews and her great nieces and nephews, Will, Austin, Nicholas, Seth, and Emily who referred to her as “Maw Maw Opal”.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 2:00 pm at the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral home of Kings Mountain.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Trina Whitaker, 806 Second Street, Kings Mountain.

CLERGY: Chaplain Terry Floyd and Rev. Bruce Davis.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
