Norris Gilliam

GROVER: Carl Norris Gilliam, 62, died Monday, January 28, 2019, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late James “Sonny” Gilliam and Ruth Connor Gilliam. He proudly served his county in the US Army. Norris had a great love of hunting, fishing, and his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Devair Pruitt. He is survived by his sons, Jason and Joshua Gilliam; daughter, Carlee Gilliam; grandchildren, Camie, Clay, Jagger, and Kaedyn; and siblings, Renee Bost, Debbie Steadham, Gary Gilliam, and Lynn Hudson. Memorial services will be held 2pm, Friday, February 1, 2019, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
