LAWNDALE- Mozelle McSwain, 91, died Friday December 30, 2016 at Rutherford Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John and Vangie Welmon Sparks. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church and used to be active in many different capacities within the church.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert “EK” McSwain; one daughter, Tela McSwain; brothers, Wade, Josh, and John Sparks, Jr.
SURVIVED: She is survived by one son, Ted McSwain and wife Lynn of Lawndale; two grandchildren, Michael McSwain of Casar and Jimmy McSwain of Asheville; sister-in-law, Myrtle Sparks; many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held, 3pm Sunday at Zion Baptist with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
