SHELBY-Michael “Mike” Loveday, 65, of Canterbury Rd., died Sat., July 26, 2014, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Orange Co., FL, he is the son of Mary Glenn Burgess Loveday and the late Lee Roy Loveday. He attended Christopher Road Baptist Church.
SURVIVED: In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Booth Loveday, of the home; two sons, Johnny Loveday and fiancée Vicki of Gastonia, and Shannon Loveday and wife Jeannie of Shelby; sister, Teresa Buchanan and husband Allen of Rutherfordton; brother, Ivan Loveday of Union Mills; grandson, Mickey Loveday; step-grandchildren, Angel Huffman and Dannane Needs; and several special nieces and nephews.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, 4p.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
VISITATION: The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home, and other times at his home.
