He was a military veteran, serving in the US Army from 1959 to 1962.
A dedicated Auto Mechanic by trade, Michel spent his life immersed in the world of automotive service, where his skilled hands and keen mind could bring any car back to life. His passion for working on cars was matched only by his love for nature, often finding peace in the simplest moments outdoors.
Michel found joy in the pages of the Bible and the uplifting melodies of gospel music. He was a man who valued deep conversations with family and friends, offering his opinions with steadfast honesty and a heart full of warmth. His life was a testament to the power of faith, family, and the beauty of everyday moments.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty five years, Peggy Louise McSwain Peace, his parents William Thomas Peace and Bessie Caroline Morris Peace, sisters Hazel Peace Morgan, Joyce Peace Parker, Gaynell Peace Scruggs, and brothers Thomas Luther, Allen Caldwell, and Russell Calvin Peace.
He is survived by his loving daughter Tabitha Peace and her fiancé Mickey Williams, sisters June Washburn and Patsy White with her husband Charlie White, along with a host of cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
The family wishes to express gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time. Services to honor and celebrate Michel's life will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, his family encourages those who knew him to remember his infectious smile, generous spirit, and the simple joys he brought into their lives.
