SHELBY: Melinda Poole, 78, died Wednesday May 15, 2024 at Wendover Hospice. A Cleveland County native, she was the daughter of the late Willie James and Elizabeth Dawson McKinney. She was a member of Kadesh Church in Belwood and her favorite past time was genealogy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Plato Poole; and son, Tony Poole. Melinda is survived by her daughter, Lisa Laughlin and husband Rick of Lawndale; sister, Madeline White and husband Vic of Patterson Springs; daughter-in-law, Vickie Poole; grandchildren, Stephanie Griffey, Anthony Poole, Erik Laughlin, and Nick Laughlin; and great-grandchildren, Chris Griffey, Dalton Poole, and Liam Poole. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM Monday May 20 ,2024 at Sunset Cemetery.
