Melba Bell

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Melba Bain Bell, 89, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Testa Family Hospice. She was born in Town Creek, Al. to the late Louis and Ida Odom Bain. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 48 years.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, O’Neil Bain, Vernon Bain, and Odom Carl “O.C.” Bain; sister’s Mary Dillingham, Mildred Norton, and Marjorie Bissing; and grandson, Steven Bell.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband, James Bell, of the home; son, Steve Bell and wife Deana of Charlotte; daughter Vicky Bell Szucs and husband Chris of Gastonia; sister Marcella Bain; grandchildren, Stephanie Ormand and husband Bobby of Mooresville, Taylor and Alex Szucs of Gastonia; greatgrandchildren Parker Bell of Gastonia, Blake and Lydia Ormand of Mooresville.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 20017 at 2:00 PM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Chapel of Kings Mountain.
OFFICIATING: Dr. Steve Taylor, officiating
BURIAL: Mountain Rest Cemetery immediately following the service
