Mary Ledbetter

SHELBY – Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Blanton Ledbetter, 91, died Tues., Jan. 1, 2013, at Rex Rehab of Apex. A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late John and Lizzie Ellis Blanton. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. Ledbetter; son, Billy Earl Ledbetter; four brothers; two sisters; and one grandson.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her three sons, Don Ledbetter of Rutherfordton, Reid Ledbetter and wife Penny of Olin, NC, David Ledbetter and wife Jeanne of Raleigh; daughter, Libby Anders and husband Doug of Virgilina, VA; daughter–in-law, Diane W. Ledbetter of New Bern, NC; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: A Celebration service will be held 2pm, Saturday, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends following the service, in the church fellowship hall.

BURIAL: A private family burial will take place in the church cemetery, prior to the service.
