SHELBY- Mrs. Martha Sue Brown Haynes, 68, of 700 Kings Rd., Shelby, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
FUNERAL: 11:00 a.m., Monday, Aug. 7, 2006 in the Chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
BURIAL: will follow in Cane Creek Baptist Cemetery, Rutherfordton.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
PERSONAL HISTORY: Mrs. Haynes was born in Cleveland County and was daughter to the late James M. and Lizzie Mae Alley Brown. She was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, was a former State Treasurer of D.A.V. of N.C. and a member of D.A.V. Chapter 18, and had worked in the textile industry.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Haynes and two infant children.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by three nephews, Robert Haynes and wife Janet of Edneyville, NC, Joey Haynes and wife Kim of Winston-Salem, and James Haynes and wife Wanda of Shelby; one niece, Janet Connor and husband Frank of Edneyville; a brother-in-law, J.D. Haynes of Boiling Springs; and special friends, Larry and Linda Evans of Kings Mountain, Michael Evans of Shelby, and Mysti Eskridge of Shelby.
