SHELBY- Mark Asa Lovelace, 53, died Wed., Oct. 19, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of William “Asa” Lovelace of Shelby, and the late Geraldine Blanton Lovelace. He worked 20 years as a machinist, and retired as CNA with Hospice of Cleveland County. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Will Ferree.
SURVIVED: In addition to his father, he is survived by his sons, Zack and Noah Lovelace; daughter, Ciara Smith and husband Brock; sisters, Jean Lovelace and fiancé Kenny Paxton, and Audrey Emerson, all of Shelby; five grandchildren; and nephew, Cory Ferree and wife Kendra.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
OFFICIATING: Rev. Dale Byrd will officiate
BURIAL: will follow in Sunset Cemetery
FUNERAL HOME: Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby
