SHELBY: Marissa Hamrick, 24, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of Paula Hamrick and husband Greg of Shelby, and Rick Hopper and wife Rolanda of Grover. Marissa graduated from R.S Central in 2012, and was known as “baby girl” by her loving family.
SURVIVED: In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Chris Hopper and fiancée Hannah Arthur of Grover, and Casey Hopper and wife Amanda of Polkville; step-sisters, Janell Voelske and husband Michael of Statesville, and Brenda Whisnant and husband Ryan of Denver, NC; niece, Jaycee Hopper; grandparents, Marilyn McSwain, and Mike and Abby Hamrick all of Shelby; uncles and aunts, Charles and Bonita Thomas of Shelby, and Mike and Lisa Hopper of Grover; and several cousins.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends 11:30am-1pm, Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Hope Community Church
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 1pm, Saturday, at Hope Community Church
OFFICIATING: Revs. Skip Allen, Jeff Marburger, and Jeremy Peeler will officiate
MEMORIALS: Least of the These-Carolinas, 469 Hospital Dr. Suite A, Gastonia, NC 28054
FUNERAL HOME: Arrangements are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby
