SHELBY- Mrs. Margie A. Bivins Ledford, 86, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie Causby Bivins. Margie served at church secretary of Second Baptist Church for 33 years, and was a former Sunday school teacher and director of the Joy Group. She enjoyed singing in the choir and reading her bible. She also had a love for working in her yard and tending to her flowers.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ledford; and brothers, James and Gene Bivins.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bardwell and family of New Orleans, Janice Ledford and family of Shelby, and Etta Tony Hagen; and many special nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11a.m., at Second Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour, prior to the service, at the church.

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park

CLERGY: Rev. Jeremy Peeler and Dr. Reginald Dawkins will officiate

MEMORIALS: Second Baptist Church, 1114 S. Lafayette St, Shelby, NC 28152
