Margie Wilson Hucks

SHELBY-Margie Wilson McDaniel Hucks, 87, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Dora Welch Wilson. Margie was a member of First Baptist Church in Shelby, where she was active in the Love Sunday School class. She was a a proud member of Shelby High School Class of 1945, and loved art, reading, dancing, water aerobics, and traveling. She loved her family above all.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter McDaniel; and second husband, Samuel Hucks; and sister, Jeanette Toney.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Keith McDaniel and wife Wendy of Shelby, Jason McDaniel of Forest City, and Fred McDaniel and wife Debbie of DeBary, Fl.; daughters, Melisa Harrison and husband Roger of Stanley, and Samantha Veneziano and husband Jimmy of Delran, NJ; sister, Evelyn Brooks of Lattimore; brother, Ray Wilson and wife Mickey of Donie, TX; grandchildren, Kristen Johnson, Kimberly, Alan, Carrie, Austin, Chris, Dawson, and Mariah McDaniel, Tyler and Justin Harrison, Dominique and Anthony Veneziano, and Jeffrey Callahan; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Caleb, and Madison McDaniel, Madison and Paige Johnson, and Mekenzie Callahan; and many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2pm, in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the church

BURIAL: Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Forest City
