Margie Archer

SHELBY- Mrs. Margie McEntyre Archer, 77, of 832 E. Main St., died December 20, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Dora Burgess McEntyre. Margie was a member of Yorkwood Church of God in Gastonia and retired from Heochst Celanese.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Gilbert, Willie Jr. McEntyre; and sister Evelyn White.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband, Preston Archer of the home; son, Michael Archer and wife Kathy of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Carolyn Bradley of Kings Mountain and Elaine Price and husband Donald of Bessemer City; brother, Joel McEntyre of Mooresboro; sister Shirley Carroll of Shelby; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.


SERVICES: Services will be held, Thursday, December 23, 2010, 12:00pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel of Shelby and other times at the home.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Thursday, from 10:30-12pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

CLERGY: Revs. Joel Shirley and Bobby Callahan

BURIAL: Entombment will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park Mausoleum.
