SHELBY- Mrs. Madeline Pittman Sandlin, 87, formerly of Shelby, died Jan. 19, 2007 at Mecklenburg Health Care Center in Charlotte.
PERSONAL HISTORY: She was a resident of Cleveland County for over 50 years and a member of Northside Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Husband of 54 years, Harry Louis Sandlin; Parents, Stokes and Tempie Pittman; three brothers, James Oliver Tolley, Martin Pittman, and Wilson “Bud” Pittman; and two sisters, Mabel Tolley Kitchen and Frances Pittman Leonard.
SURVIVORS: one son, Harry Sandlin Jr. and wife Glenda T.; a grandson, Brian Louis Sandlin and wife Michelle Lancaster-Sandlin ; two great-grandsons, Grayson Michael Sandlin and Nicholas Louis Sandlin; a sister, Pearl Pittman Hampton; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Sandlin Richards and Dot Pittman; and 15 nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Today (Jan 21) from 2-3:30 PM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Graveside funeral service 1:30pm, Monday (Jan 22) at Mountain View Memorial Park, Black Mountain, NC
