Luis Carlos Bedoya

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Luis Carlos Bedoya, born on November 5, 1941, in Colombia, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 84.

Luis was a man whose life was defined by the goodness that came from his heart. A dedicated machine operator in manufacturing, he found joy not only in his work but also in his hobbies of gardening and cooking. With a natural green thumb, his garden flourished under his care, much like the relationships he nurtured with friends and family through his life. As a good cook, he delighted in sharing meals and creating memories around the table.

Luis was a genuine and sincere individual, always ready to listen and lend a hand. His encouraging spirit touched everyone who knew him, and his capacity to love immensely was evident in every aspect of his life. He was truly a good man, admired for his integrity, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Marco and Ana Bedoya. Luis leaves behind a family that adored him: his wife Bertha Lili Gonzalez de Bedoya, son Julio Andres Bedoya and wife Rosa Vargas, son Juan Carlos Bedoya and wife Carla Garcia, daughter Leidy Viviana Bedoya and husband Daivy Pujols, and daughter Liliana Patricia Bass and husband Harold Bass. He is also survived by his sisters Maria Gonzalez and Rosalba Bedoya, brother Oscar Bedoya, and grandchildren Michelle, Samuel, Emiliano, Nicholle, and Thomas. His loyal companions, Panchita the cat and Timmi the dog, were constants in his life.

Services to honor Luis’s memory will be held at the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on June 12, 2026, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Carlos Mora.

Luis Carlos Bedoya leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
