SHELBY- Mrs. Lucille Wiggins, 92, of 708 Walker Drive, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Lula Drewery Allen, She was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Yates Wiggins; three sisters, Dorothy Causby, Eva Parker and Margie Hopper; and a brother, Rev. John Allen.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her son, Bruce Wiggins, and special friend, Becki Anthony of Shelby; three sisters, Maudine Terry of Shelby, Julie Owle of Earl, and Helen Wellmon and husband, Howard, of Fallston; two brothers, Roy Allen and wife, Donnis, of Mooresboro and Harold Allen and wife, Sandy, of Shelby; two grandchildren, Laura Wiggins Ford and fiancé, Ace Porter, and Jacob Wiggins, all of Shelby; and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Ford and Landon Porter.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Shelby, and at other times at the home of her son, Bruce, 2824 S. Lafayette St., Shelby.
FUNERAL SERVICE: The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
INTERMENT: Burial will follow in Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Mooresboro.
OFFICIATING CLERGY: The Rev. Jackie Price will officiate.
