SHELBY:Lisa Carson Henderson, lovingly known as Lisa, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, in Shelby, NC, at the age of 64. Born on June 9, 1961, in Polk County, Lisa's life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family, her passion for animals, and her incredible culinary skills.

With a determined spirit and a hard-working nature, Lisa dedicated many years of her career to leading teams as a Manager at Pizza Inn and later at Don Ramons of Shelby. Her colleagues and friends remember her as a steadfast and reliable presence, always ready to lend a helping hand.

A true "mama bear," Lisa fiercely protected and nurtured those she loved. Her daughter, Ashely Alam, together with her husband Faiz, were her pride and joy. Lisa's home was often filled with the comforting aroma of her cooking, a testament to her love for creating delicious meals and gathering her family around the table.

Lisa's compassion extended beyond her family and friends to the wildlife in her neighborhood. She found joy in feeding the deer, raccoons, and opossums, demonstrating her deep appreciation for all living creatures.

Preceded in death by her parents, C.G. Carson and Kathryn Turner Carson, her sister Cheryl Carson, and brother Jeff Carson, Lisa leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ashely and Faiz Alam; sisters Rita Cochran (Chris), Debbie Passmore (George), Audrey Carson, and Jean Lawson; brothers Randy Carson, Gary Carson, and Roger Carson; and her daughter’s best friend, Viviana Escamilla. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends also mourn her passing.

Lisa's life was a testament to hard work, stubborn determination, and an open heart. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
