SHELBY- Lindsay Anne Mooney, born May 20, 1989, in Shelby, North Carolina, passed away on May 17, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lindsay's time on this earth was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and kindness.

Graduating from Crest High School, Lindsay went on to touch the hearts of all who knew her with her lively and outgoing spirit. Known for her loving nature and heart of gold, she possessed an innate ability to lift the spirits of those around her. She was affectionately known as “Baby Girl” by her family, known for her endearing care and attention, especially towards her baby brother.

Lindsay had a zest for life that was evident in her many passions. She found joy in shopping for clothes and pocketbooks, decorating her home with endless creativity, and delighting in her favorite treat—cheesecake. Her love for sloths and Care Bears reflected her playful and nurturing character. Her fur babies, Zella and Fletcher, were more than pets to her; they were beloved family members.

She is survived by her loving family, including her father Paul Mooney and his wife Terri; her mother Geri Andrian; her brothers, Nigel Mooney and his girlfriend Bianca Glover, and Heath Mooney and his wife Kelly. She also leaves behind her adored nephew Wade Mooney, niece Evelyn Mooney, her cherished aunt Karen Bennett, and cousin Jay Bennett and family. Lindsay's spirit left an indelible mark on her special friends Jonathan Lunsford and his wife Kari.

A celebration of Lindsay's life will take place at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, with Dr. Bulo Price officiating. This gathering will reflect the warmth and love that she brought into the world, as friends and family come together to honor her memory.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Doctors, nurses and Ecmo staff that worked so hard to extend Lindsay’s life.

Though she is no longer with us, Lindsay Anne Mooney's legacy of care, joy, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her. Forever remembered, she remains a shining example of compassion and wholehearted living.
