SHELBY- Lawrence L. Drummond, born August 15, 1951, in Redbay, Alabama, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, at the age of 75.

Lawrence was a man who found true joy and excitement in the great outdoors. An enthusiastic and accomplished deer and turkey hunter, he cherished every moment spent in the woods, where the rhythm of nature fueled his spirit. His passion extended to the waters as well, where he was an avid bass fisherman, finding peace and fulfillment out on the lake.

A lover of animals, Lawrence had a special bond with his horses and hunting dogs, whose companionship brought him endless happiness. He also adored his favorite cat, Chester, who was a beloved member of his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Waymon and Frances Drummond, Lawrence is lovingly remembered by his sisters Pam Beam and her husband Bryan Beam, Martha Drummond, and Kay Drummond. His family and friends will forever hold dear the memories of his infectious enthusiasm, his zest for life, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his days.

Lawrence's legacy is one of joyful passion for the world around him and the simple pleasures that brought meaning to his life. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
