SHELBY - LaDonna Brown Dedmond, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and Mimi, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2025, in her hometown of Shelby, North Carolina. Born on June 28, 1964, LaDonna graced this world with 61 years of love, laughter, and unwavering spirit.

A woman of remarkable strength and resilience, LaDonna touched the lives of everyone she met with her free-spirited nature and boundless love for her family. Her passions were as vibrant as her personality—she found joy in playing pool, dancing to her favorite music, and feeling the sand beneath her feet at the beach. Whether she was kayaking across serene waters or simply sitting on her porch listening to the symphony of nature, LaDonna embraced life with an open heart and an adventurous soul.

In addition to her cherished memories, LaDonna leaves behind a loving family to honor her legacy. She is survived by her father, C.L. Brown of Shelby; her children, Kasey Robinson and husband Josh of Supply, Leigh Ann Crawford and husband Cameron of Shelby, Seth Dedmond and wife Courtney of Fallston, and Rebecca Mosteller and husband Johnny of Blacksburg. Her sister, Sharon Panther and husband Scott of Shelby, carry forward her spirit of kinship.

LaDonna's adoring grandchildren, Tucker and Eli Robinson, Carter and Payton Crawford, Zach Dedmond, Blake Mosteller, Olivia, Sophia, Gabe, and Eliana Dedmond, will forever hold her memory close, as will her nephews, Brett and Chase Hendrick.

Preceded in death by her beloved mother, Betty Jackson Brown, and her husband, William Donald Dedmond, LaDonna now joins them in eternal peace.

The family will announce details for a memorial service at a later date, inviting all whose lives she touched to celebrate her remarkable journey.

While LaDonna Brown Dedmond may have left this earthly realm, her legacy of love, joy, and resilience will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her. Her spirit lives on in the sunsets she cherished, the music she danced to, and the hearts of her family and friends.
