SHELBY- Joseph Everett Keener, 80, passed way Friday December 23, 2016 at his residence. A native of Wayne County, Iowa, he was the son of the late David C. and Lena Speer Keener. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where served as a deacon.
PRECEDED: Three brothers and three sisters
SURVIVED: He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Whicker Keener of the home; one son, David Keener of Mooresboro; one sister, Susan Starr and husband Kerry of Centerville, Iowa; five grandchildren, Zachary Starr, Shelby Keener, Jessica Keener, Davey Keener, and Emily Keener; several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 3pm Monday at Cornerstone Baptist Church held with military honors, with a visitation beginning one hour prior at the church. Dr. Bo Wagner will be officiating.
