John Wilburn Willis Sr.

ELLENBORO: John Willis, Sr., died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Atrium Health-Shelby. A native of Cleveland Co., he was born to the late Frank and Maudie Oaks Willis. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to paint and loved antique cars.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Towery.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia Willis, of the home; sons, John Willis, Jr. and wife Debbie of Lawndale and Tim Willis, Sr. and wife Michelle of Boiling Springs, SC; sisters, Evie Vaugh, Brenda Hull, Deana Campbell and husband Barry, and Judy Hubbard, all of Shelby; grandchildren, Kayla Willis and Timothy Willis, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

BURIAL: will follow the service at Mt Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery
