Jimmy Wayne Grayson Sr.

FOREST CITY- Mr. Jimmy Grayson, Sr., 71, of 121 Holly Lane, Apt. B, passed away Monday April 1, 2013 at his residence. A native of Lincoln County, he was born December 27, 1941, son of the late William Monroe and Vangie Hoppes Grayson.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Wall and Pauline Hamrick; three brothers, Ray, Summie, and Bill Grayson.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving ex-wife, Brenda Turner of Boiling Springs; one son, Jimmy Wayne Grayson, Jr. of Lincolnton; four daughters, Lisa McDaniel and husband Jerry, Susie Dellinger, Julie Grayson, and Mary Grayson all of Shelby; four sisters, Helen Propst, Margaret Ferree, Jo Ann Lail, and Janell Camp; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

CLERGY: Rev. Johnny Owens and Rev. Albert Hardin

BURIAL: Private for the family to announce.
