SHELBY- Mr. James “Jim” Williams, 54, of 809 E. Main St.., went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Vanderburgh County, Indiana, he was the son of Mary Anne White Williams of the home and the late Rev. Clarence R. Williams. He loved to attend church and was a member of First Wesleyan Church. He was dearly loved by his family and will truly be missed.
SURVIVORS: In addition to his mother, he is survived by four sisters, Belinda Goode and husband, Don, of Shelby, Lucinda Hines and husband, Casey of Greenville, SC, Kim Wood and husband, Rev. Pete of Central, SC, and Beth Ward and husband, Rev. Glenn of Jamestown, NC; two brothers, Rev. Steven Williams and wife, Debra, of Winston-Salem, and Rev. Hank Williams and wife, Mary Ann, of Inman, SC; thirteen nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2009 from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. at First Wesleyan Church and at other times at the home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2009 at First Wesleyan Church.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Hoey United Methodist Church/Parker Cemetery.
